2. Pack the Kids Room Last
Even though they’re young, toddlers are quite perceptive and know that something is big is happening as they watch everything in the house get boxed up. Keep their anxiety at bay by packing their room last, to keep some comforting items as long as possible and also to make your life easier. When we moved, my husband was trying to be helpful and took a load over to our house early, which contained the only clothes for my daughter I could get to. Luckily we had some laundry I’d just finished and found some extras, but you won’t have to re-open boxes to find what you need if you don’t have to!
