4. Polaroid Photo Coasters

I’m sure you’ve seen lots of DIY coasters made out of photos, but these polaroid coasters take the photo coaster to a whole new level. I mean polaroid photos, for some reason, are so much more fun to look at than any normal photo. They have a certain vintage feel to them that creates a sense of nostalgia. The best part about these coasters is that they aren’t even real polaroids. You make them out of photos cut to look like polaroids. So, even if you don’t have a vintage camera you can still recreate these adorable coasters with all your new favorite photos.

5. Scrabble Coasters

Over the years we’ve seen more and more scrabble letters pop up in home decor. Usually you see them on walls spelling out fun words like “love,” or “family,” but now you can use them in a very unsuspecting way. Simply use them to make coasters! You can spell out whatever words you’d like then glue the letters onto some cork. You can create ones for specific kinds of drinks with words about coffee, tea, beer, and so much more. You have never ending possibilities with what you can spell and what type of coasters you end up with.

(Check out Gourmet Gab for really delicious recipes as well as travel advice and inspiration).

6. Color Block Cork Coasters

How fun and interesting are these color blocked cork coasters? I love color blocking because you can create so many different shapes and lines from it and it looks so visually interesting. These coasters are not only really cool to look at, but incredibly easy to make, too. All you need is some cork, tape, paint, and some acrylic varnish to set it all and you’re good to go. Have fun creating an endless amount of geometric shapes and lines and see what your coasters end up looking like.
