7. Your Breasts Will HURT
I had actually always heard that your breasts will be tender during the first few months of pregnancy, but man alive when they said tender, I didn’t realize that they meant hurt like hell! Your breasts become extremely sensitive to the touch, especially your nipples. Just my clothes rubbing against them caused enough pain to make me never want to wear a bra or shirt again. It hurt so much that even taking my bra off was incredibly painful.
8. Prepare For Discharge, And Lots Of It
One of the grossest and perhaps weirdest things about being pregnant is that you will have a lot of discharge coming out of your lady parts down there. It starts pretty early on and lasts through your whole pregnancy. I mean, we’re not talking about Niagra Falls, but there’s definitely a little bit every single day. If you have usual or large amounts, however, you’ll definitely want to talk to your doctor as it can be something more serious than normal pregnancy discharge.
9. Round Ligament Pains
When I first experienced round ligament pains I thought something was wrong with my baby. I had never heard about these pains before and they hurt really bad! I immediately looked up the symptoms online and discovered that it was completely normal and safe and that it’s called round ligament pains. Basically you’ll feel really sharp pains in your lower belly/groin area that can be on one or both sides. It’s caused by your round ligament (some of the muscles that support your uterus) stretching to accommodate your growing uterus. However, if it persists for long periods of time, certainly contact your doctor to make sure that nothing more serious is going on.
