Keeping your home clean can be stressful and overwhelming. There is always so much to clean and just as soon as you clean up one area, something else gets dirty in another area. It’s a never ending vicious cycle, especially for me because I hate cleaning. Even though I love having a clean and organized house, it’s really hard for me to keep it that way because I just don’t enjoy picking up. However, since I have become a stay at home mom, I have learned that you can actually clean your home and keep it clean pretty easily with a few little tricks. It doesn’t have to take a lot of time or effort to keep a clean home. In fact here are 10 cleaning hacks that will help those of who hate to clean, keep our home nice and tidy.
1. Clean As You Go
A great way to keep your home clean is to clean as you go. If you don’t, a lot of clutter and mess will slowly build up until it gets out of control. However, if you simply put things away when you use them, wash the dish as you use it, wipe up the mirror after you splash water on it, etc. your home will stay cleaner and you won’t have to clean the whole entire house all at once. It’ll all get cleaned a little bit at a time, keeping it cleaner for longer.
2. Make Your Bed Every Day
One way to always keep your room clean is to make your bed every single day. I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of doing this since you will simply be getting back in your bed in a few hours to sleep again. However, on the days when I do make my bed, it really does make my bedroom look so much nicer and it feels so much better to be in there. It creates a nice presence and look in the bedroom when it’s nicely made.
3. Remove Clutter
The more clutter there is in your home, the messier it will look. Really take a look at all the decor, magazines, and trash you have in your home and minimize everything. Tons of little nic-nacs on a book shelf will make your room look messy, even if it is all in place. Not only will your home look cleaner with less clutter, but it will be easier to clean because you won’t have to move as many things as you’re cleaning or wipe as many items down to dust them.
