5. Keep Your Nails Short

Longer nails are more exposed than shorter nails and as such you’ll tend to use them for everything such as peeling off stickers or opening boxes, which will only increase the likelihood of them chipping and peeling off.  If you keep your nails short then the tips of your fingers will take the brunt of any impact, not your nails.
