7. Abstract Shapes
If you’re feeling extra adventurous try painting some abstract shapes on your pots. Don’t feel the need to keep them symmetrical and perfect. Let the shapes take their own form and let the beauty happen on it’s own. The free hand design will give it that hand painted quality that will make the design truly unique. Who knows, you may even get requests from friends and family to have one of their own hand painted pots.

8. Cute Labeling
If you’re growing herbs in your home, spice up the pots a little by labeling them with some cute writing and designs. If you have great hand writing, you can free hand the words, or you can use a stencil to create beautiful letters. Either way, these are a great upgrade from boring label makers that add no design or life to your home. Once you create the words, add fun little designs that will give it a unique and fun look.

9. Fabric Covered Pots
If you’re not very good with a paint brush, try covering your pots with some fabric! It’s very simple and you don’t have to worry about taping anything off or making a mistake with your paintbrush. Choose a bold fabric, or something more chic and simple. Either way it’ll add some great design to your pots without creating too much of a headache.
