4. DIY
If you see something in a store that you love, but can’t afford to spend the money on it, make it yourself! I had seen some nursery dreamcatcher mobiles that I wanted, but I figured I could make it for cheaper than buying it brand new. Not only was it less expensive, but I was able to make it exactly how I wanted. You can also have someone help you make crib sheets, crib bumpers, curtains and more! Those items can all be very expensive, so making it yourself is most often a less expensive option.

5. Hand Me Downs
Many people frown upon hand me down furniture from people, but just because it’s a hand me down doesn’t mean it doesn’t have potential. If you don’t love the piece of furniture, try painting it a different, fun color, or putting unique drawer pulls on it to make it look more unique. You can easily make a piece of furniture look updated and modern by changing a few things about it, so ask your friends and family if there is anything that they don’t want anymore that you could use for your nursery.
