10. Online Classifieds
Besides the crib in our nursery, we bought all the furniture for the room off the classifieds online. This is a great place to look because you can shop from the comfort of your own home (always a plus when you’re pregnant). It also allows you to look specifically for a piece of furniture or style of furniture you want. If you want a more shabby chic look or a mid century look you can enter this in the search and the results will narrow to the furniture you are looking for. You can also haggle with the sellers and get the price as low as you’d like as long as they are willing.
11. Try Swapping
Swapping is a way of shopping that is relatively new. There are many websites like Swap.com, Freecycle.com, and ThredUp.com where hundreds of people are looking to swap their items in exchange for something else you may have and for free! If your budget is really tight, this is a great option since it will cost you nothing.
