7. Surprise Them
Everyone loves being surprised, especially kids. What kid wouldn’t want to hear out of no where, “Get ready we’re going to the ice cream store,” or “Since you’re being so good, I’m going to buy you that toy you’ve been wanting for so long.” Doing things like this shows your child that you care about them to give them the things that they don’t necessarily need, but definitely want.
8. Play With Them
How many times has your child begged you to play with them and you told them you can’t because you have to work, clean, cook, pay bills, etc? You can tell just by the look on their face how disappointed they are. If you want to show your child that you’re a good mom and that you love them, take some time out of your day to play with your kids. Run around outside with them, throw some balls around, blow bubbles, play hopscotch, etc. As long as you’re playing with them and laughing with them they’ll love it.
9. Bake With Them
Let’s be honest, most of us don’t let our kids anywhere near the kitchen when we are cooking or baking something. We’re probably worried about the headache it will create if they “help” us because they’ll spill things and make a mess, but imagine how happy they’ll be being able to make a yummy dessert with you. It’s a great time to bond, talk, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company.
