4. Use A Key Ring To Fix A Broken Pants Zipper
We all have that one pair of favorite jeans that we suddenly can’t wear anymore because the zipper won’t stay up anymore. It’s so frustrating because even though you pull the zipper up, it ends up falling down again, looking like your fly is open. You can easily remedy this problem by taking a key ring and looping it through the hole at the end of the zipper, then pull the key ring up and over the botton of the jeans, then button like normal. It will keep the zipper up and will allow you to wear so many of the pants you thought you could never wear again.
5. Stop Buttons From Unraveling With Nail Polish
If you have some buttons coming off of a shirt, a great way to delay their unraveling and falling off is to take some clear nail polish and put it on the threads. The nail polish acts like a glue and holds the button and thread together so it won’t fall off. Eventually, you will have to sew the button on, but this is a quick fix if you don’t have time to sit down and sew your button back on.
6. Remove Scuffs On Patent Leather With Vaseline
I love patent leather shoes, but the one thing I hate about them are all the scuff marks they get. It seems like no matter how careful you are, you always end up with a few scuff marks every time you wear them. Did you know you can actually get those marks out? All you need is some vaseline and a cotton swab. Rub the vaseline into the shoe where the scuffs are and they should slowly disappear.
