10. Shine Shoes
Who has shoe shining products in this day and age? I mean really, it’s kind of a thing of the past, but every now and then you do need to shine your shoes up a bit and make them look like new again. Just take some petroleum jelly and rub it into your shoes and voila – they’ll look like new.
11. Stop Those Pesky Household Squeaks
We all have those doors and cabinets in our home that squeak every time you open and close them. If that noise is driving you crazy, rub some petroleum jelly all over the hinge and open it and close it a few times so that the jelly gets worked in the hinges. As it works it’s way in, it will lubricate the hinge and stop the squeaking.
12. Tame Those Fly Aways
The struggle is real when it comes to taming those crazy little hairs around your hairline. It’s like they have a life of their own. Instead of gobbing large amounts of hair gel on them, or spraying them with hairspray until your hair becomes crusty, just take a very small amount of petroleum jelly and rub it between your fingers. Then wipe your fingers along those hairs in the direction that you want them to go.
