The basics of having good manners starts with saying please and thank you. It’s so simple, yet hard to always implement. Sometimes your kids are nagging you so much that you just give in to quiet them. But if they’ll do it with you, that can do it with anyone and teaching them that manners are always in style is an important value that will carry them into being a respectful adult. It’s ok to ask them repeatedly to say please and thank you, they will eventually do it on their own. Don’t forget to also teach them to use “excuse me” and “sorry!”
