
4. Put Down Electronics
It’s a good rule of thumb that if your kids are in the room with other people, such as family or in a social setting they should not be using their gaming devices, tablets or phones. You may have all sorts of reasons to justify this, but in the end they are ignoring people in favor of an inanimate object. How would you feel if you were out to dinner with friends and they were on their phones the whole time ignoring you? This actually does happen to me, and it makes me take a look at myself. Now when I go out with my husband or friends, I often leave my phone in the car. Face to Face communication is not just better interaction, it’s polite.
