5. College- No Exceptions
We know a lot more about what makes people “tick” in our modern times than our grandparents age, and that may involve learning disabilities. That being said, not everyone on earth will go to college. However, our grandparents message was that you work hard in school to get a career to take care of your family. This parenting strategy is still applicable, even if your message doesn’t involve college specifically. Our kids should work hard in elementary, all the way through high school. No one ever looks back on their life and wishes they had been more lazy!
