7. Have Grace
In the weeks of your return to work, you’re going to have to be gracious with a lot of people, yourself most of all. You are not the same exact person you were before having a baby. You still have a ton of hormones rushing through your body, may have some “momnesia,” are conflicted about enjoying work and leaving your baby, just to name a few. Don’t be afraid to talk to your boss about slowly easing back into your old job. It’s important to admit your feelings, happy or sad. It’s totally normal to get weepy at your desk the first few weeks back on the job! You will adjust to the new normal and enjoy work again.
