Offer to Help New Parents with Practical Support
A new mom needs help regardless if she is too tough to ask for it. If you are visiting at the hospital, offer to watch the baby in the room so she can get up and walk around the hallways, shower, etc. If you are visiting at the home, offer to help with some laundry or dishes or anything you think could make things easier on her. Lending a helping hand speaks volumes and will make Mom feel good knowing that you care enough to offer.
