#9 – My Little Pony
Despite the popular resurgence of these huggably hoofed creatures, these toys were originally dubbed “My Pretty Pony,” and were developed and produced for Hasbro’s Romper Room line of toys. In 1983, the colorful ponies’ sizes were reduced and renamed My Little Pony, and inspired the popular eighties cartoon of the same name. Today, the ponies are in their fourth generation, with a brand new series appearing on the popular children’s television network, The Hub.
