8. Skip the Self-Clean Function

Mix up a paste of baking soda and water, then spread it inside your oven — just not on exposed heating elements. Let it sit overnight, and then use a plastic scraper and a rag to remove the paste and the grime. If a baking soda haze remains, use a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar to wipe it up.
