
6. Singing Time
Listening to or signing calming lullabies before bed is another great way to slowly drift your child into dream land. If your child isn’t talking yet, simply sit them on your lap, or cuddle them in your arms and sing soft lullabies or songs to them. It may only take one song to calm them down, sometimes it may take three. If your child is older and can talk, let them sing the songs with you. Set ground rules for singing time, though. Make sure they know they can’t be rambunctious and loud, but soft, and gentle with their words. It’s a great way to help them calm down before bed, as well as learn words, songs, and how to sing.
