3. Say Yes

My daughter’s favorite word right now is “no” and she probably hears it from me a lot during the day because of her recent behavior. If you say no all the time, even your firm “no” during a tempter tantrum or during one of their bad moods may not carry as much weight. Try and use positive language instead of over using the word “no.” For example, If your child asks to go the park but you can’t right now, tell them “thank you for asking, we will be going to the park tomorrow.” Don’t we all like to hear yes more often anyways?
