5. Be Strong & Don’t Give In
There are so many times when I’ve been worn out or even embarrassed by my toddler’s behavior in public that I wanted to just give in to her demands. I’m not perfect so will fully admit that it’s happened! But as your toddler is learning the ways of the world, that also includes obedience to their parents. No matter how many times they ask (aka demand!) or how many times you have to say “no,” don’t give in. It will not help to curb the tantrums or “terribleness” but only make it more likely to happen again.
