Now that you’re pregnant, you’ve probably starting reading up on all the fun things to expect in the coming months. The topic of labor and delivery probably doesn’t make that list, since its so far off and usually not something most women look forward to. But did you know that you can seriously reduce the amount of labor by a consistent exercise regime while pregnant?
1. Consult Your Doctor
Before starting any major exercise regime, you should talk to your OB. Chances are you visited the doctor at 8 weeks and that’s the perfect time to bring it up. Your doctor may have cautions for you that you may not have thought of before, especially if you are considered a high-risk pregnancy. If you’re a frequent exerciser and can’t wait until your first appointment, give your doctor’s office a call. Its better to be safe than sorry!
