6. Get Some Alone Time
Just because you’re a mother doesn’t mean you don’t need time to yourself. In fact, it’s the opposite! For me, this is the hardest tip to listen to. I don’t like asking for help and feel bad for not having a sitter that I trust, two years into having my daughter. But I feel rejuvenated and my patience somehow returns to me when I have some time out of the house without my child. Get a good friend to hold you accountable for regular coffee dates, or have your baby sitter on retainer for at least 1 time a month. Go see a movie, grab coffee and read a book, get a massage (my personal fav) or go shopping. Try your best not to run errands, but take time for YOU.
