2. Sleep is Not Optional
Your child is up at all hours of the night and refuses to nap. Tough luck. You are the parent and you need to continue their sleep routines. If you don’t have a good one, now probably isn’t the best time to start sleep training because they don’t have the wherewithal to learn another thing right now. Don’t push back bedtime because you’re scared or you think their refusal to go down is because they need a later bedtime. Don’t give up nap time because you think they are telling you they don’t need one anymore. Sleep is hard to find right now, so make sure they get as much as they can, even if they fight you for it.
