10. Gravy
It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without the gravy, right? Unfortunately it wasn’t at the first Thanksgiving since there wasn’t even a turkey. Gravy has been around since the 16th century so the Pilgrims were definitely familiar with this sauce made from meat juices, whether or not they had it on their dinner tables.
No matter what you serve at your Thanksgiving table, the season is about giving thanks. Enjoy this time with family and friends as you seek to remember the many blessings we have as a result of our Pilgrim ancestors!
