A great way to trick yourself when it comes to meals is to use portion controls.  Don’t put as much on your plate as you normally do.  Even if you cut back a little bit, it’ll make a difference with those few extra calories.  You can even try using a smaller plate to trick your mind into thinking that your plate is full, even though it has less food.
